THE BIBLE IS THE INSPIRED WORD OF GOD

Story summary

Greybobby and Betty cross a blazing hot desert and find the town of Promise. After a run-in with a conniving con-man named Wolfe Sheepskin, they meet Clara T. Worthy. She teaches them the importance of keeping promises, that God always keeps His promises—or Covenants— and that the Bible is His inspired word and record of these promises.

HEBREWS 4:12

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

2 TIMOTHY 3:16

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

What did We Learn?

  • A covenant is a promise that God makes with us and guarantees in His Word
  • Every covenant in the Bible points to the New Covenant in Jesus.
  • The Bible is God’s special book. In it, God records His promises to us.
  • Chosen people wrote the Bible through words breathed out by the Holy Spirit.

Let's Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for providing the Bible to serve as our map to guide us toward Your Will.
Help us to trust Your promises from Your Word.
Give us wisdom to know the difference between Your truth and the lies of the Enemy.
In Jesus’ Name we pray,
Amen.
