#2: Proverbs 1:15-16 - Do What’s Right, Even If It’s Hard

Story summary

In this Bible lesson, Greybobby and Betty set off for a camping trip at Hinterland Mountain Park, but Greybobby’s shortcut, spurred by a sneaky serpent, lands them in trouble, teaching them the hard way about sticking to the right path over easy lies.

Proverbs 1:15-16

...my son, do not walk in the way with them;
hold back your foot from their paths, for their feet run to evil....

What did We Learn?

  • The right path is sometimes hard even if it is well marked.
  • There will be people who want to lead us down the wrong path.
  • Because our hearts will want to follow sometimes, we need to ask Jesus for His help to do the right thing, and to give us the want to to follow the right path, even when it is difficult.

Let's Pray

Dear Lord,
Give us the want to to follow the right path even if the path is difficult sometimes. And help us to listen to wisdom from you and from those who can be trusted.
In Jesus’ Name we pray.
Amen.
