Story summary
In this Bible lesson, Betty’s impatience leads her to trust a suspicious snake, cut corners in her work, and almost ruin Uncle Greybilly’s harvest. Luckily, a band of earworms and another one of Greybilly’s Proverbs helps teach her the value of following instructions.
Proverbs 20:27
2 ...keep my commandments and live; keep my teaching as the apple of your eye;
3 bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.

What did We Learn?
- Our heart wants what it wants so we are to keep truth in front of us at all times.
- We need the Holy Spirit to write truth on our hearts and help our heart to want to follow that truth.

Help us to overcome our selfishness to do what you are calling us to do.
