#31: Proverbs 18:10 - The Lord Is A Strong Tower
Story summary
In this Bible lesson, Greybobby and friends get more than they bargained for when a fort building contest turns into an all out war. They learn a lesson from Proverbs 18:10, and that the Lord is a strong tower.
Proverbs 18:10
The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
What did We Learn?
- When someone challenges us or provokes us there are a lot of places we can run.
- We can run to mean words. We can run to challenge them. We can run to our own strength, but God doesn’t promise safety there.
- God promises safety when we run to His Name, when we trust His character instead of our own strength.
- Let’s ask Jesus to help us run to Him, our strong tower, instead of running to our own plans and power.
Let's Pray
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help us to trust You.
Even when we feel angry and want to respond the wrong way to people who provoke us, give us the strength to run to You, because we know your character and we know You will deal justly with whatever comes our way.
In Jesus’ Name we pray.
Amen.
Help us to trust You.
