Story summary
In this Christmas Bible lesson, Barbara Yak is visited by three familiar Christmas ghosts and faces the future her greed promises to deliver. Afraid for her future, Barbara Yak finally cries out for help and God’s wisdom brings hope, and God’s son Jesus brings salvation.
Proverbs 24:14
Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, there will be a future,
and your hope will not be cut off.

What did We Learn?
- When we have the Lord’s wisdom in our soul, it guides us to a hope and future.
- God uses our prayers in pursuit of people who are far from God to ultimately change their heart.
- Let’s not give up praying that God will give those people who are far from Him a changed heart so they too can have a hope and a future.
- If you haven’t bowed before Jesus as Lord, it is my prayer, this Christmas, that you’d surrender just like Barbara.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We pray that you would hide your wisdom deep down in our soul.
We pray that you’d give us a hope and a future, because we have placed our hope in Jesus.
We pray that, at this Christmas as we get many things, that we remember that the greatest gift we have received is Jesus.
It is in His Name we pray,
Amen.
