#33: Proverbs 19:2 - Don’t Act Hastily
Story summary
In this Bible lesson, Greybobby and friends go to camp and meet a new friend: Monty Malloy, a mountain goat whose mountain climbing habit is bound to get him into trouble. He learns, the hard way, a lesson from Proverbs 19:2, and to not act hastily.
Proverbs 19:2
Desire without knowledge is not good,
and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way.
and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way.
What did We Learn?
- Impulsiveness can lead to a bad end.
- We need Jesus to help us think things through with wisdom instead of looking before we leap.
- We need to pray for God to give us the “want to” to follow Jesus.
Let's Pray
Heavenly Father,
Help us not to make quick decisions based on our desires.
Instead, give us the “want to,” the desire to follow the lead of Jesus.
Give us the wisdom and knowledge to look before we leap.
In Jesus’ Name we pray.
Amen.
