#34: Proverbs 19:11 - Be Slow to Anger
Story summary
In this Bible lesson, Joy’s bubbly personality starts rubbing people the wrong way. She learns a lesson from Proverbs 19:11, and to be slow to anger.
Proverbs 19:11
Good sense makes one slow to anger,
and it is his glory to overlook an offense.
and it is his glory to overlook an offense.
What did We Learn?
- It is wise to be slow to anger and overlook an offense.
- Sometimes that pressure of overlooking an offense can build up.
- Jesus wants us to pour out that hurt to Him so the pressure doesn’t build up in us.
- We weren’t built to take that pressure, but He can.
Let's Pray
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help us be slow to anger.
Help us to overlook an offense, but when we feel like all of those things are burdens on our back and the pressure is high, help us to set those things on Jesus, the Rock Who can shoulder all of our burdens.
In Jesus’ Name we pray.
Amen.
