#35: Proverbs 19:15 - Don’t Be Lazy
Story summary
In this Bible lesson, Greybobby, Betty, and Red are in a race against time to win the Camp Chuckleberry camping challenge. Little do they know that the woods are filled with distracting critters... who just want to sing them catchy songs. They learn a lesson from Proverbs 19:15, and not to be lazy.
Proverbs 19:15
Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep,
and an idle person will suffer hunger.
and an idle person will suffer hunger.
What did We Learn?
- We learned that putting things off and being lazy often leads to trouble.
- The Lord made rest, but He also made work.
- We honor God by the work of our hands.
- We need for Him to give us wisdom to know when to work and when to rest.
Let's Pray
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help us not to avoid doing hard things, but to be diligent about them.
Help us to honor you through the work of our hands.
Most importantly give us the wisdom to know when to work and when to rest and not get those two things confused, so that we may honor you in everything we do.
In Jesus’ name we pray.
Amen.
