Story summary
In this Bible lesson, when Greybobby takes Brushy to the Valentine’s Day dance, he quickly discovers how painful it can be to dance with a porcupine. When he talks behind Brushy’s back, however, he learns that as painful as porcupine quills are, harsh words can hurt even more. They learn from Proverbs 3:3-4 about how Jesus shows us faithful love.

What did We Learn?
- Sometimes life is like dancing with a porcupine—it might be a little painful.
- Faithfulness and love aren’t just about feelings—they’re about commitment, even when things get uncomfortable.
- Greybobby didn’t want to dance with Brushy, but sometimes being a good friend means sticking by someone, even when it’s not easy.
- Jesus shows us that kind of faithful love. He pursued us when it was painful for him and cost him everything, and He can give us that kind of love.
