#70: Proverbs 19:20 - Treasure Wise Advice
Story summary
In this Bible lesson, the lunch lady gives Red more change than he is due and he decides to keep it and not give it back. Betty and Joy confront him, insisting that he is stealing from the school, but Red refuses to listen. It isn’t until a nightmare about his future that Red remembers a lesson from Proverbs 19:20 and the importance of listening to wise advice.

Listen to advice and accept instruction,
that you may gain wisdom in the future.

What did We Learn?
- It is important to hold on to the advice we are given.
- When we remember the wise words spoken to us it helps us stay on course in life. Those wise words shape and guide our future.
- When we forget or don’t truly listen to those wise words, we can get off course.
- When we follow Jesus, He puts His Holy Spirit in our heart. He reminds us of these very precious truths. He keeps our hearts aligned with His all the days of our lives.
- We need to pray for Jesus to do just that.
Let's Pray
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help us to hold on to the wise words we are told by our parents and others who want to steer us in the way of the Lord.
Most importantly, put your Holy Spirit in our hearts to remind us of the truth of who you are and to steer our lives, to give us a hope and a future.
In Jesus’ Name we pray,
