#76:  Proverbs 21:12 - Righteousness Prevails

Story summary

In this Bible lesson, Bart and Venemous team up to form “Team Wicked,” and set out to build the tallest, most awesome fort in town. Red quickly grows jealous, and learns about the Tower of Babel a lesson from Proverbs 21:12— even though the wicked seem to succeed in the short-term, God’s righteousness always prevails in the end.

Proverbs 21:12

The Righteous One observes the house of the wicked;
he throws the wicked down to ruin.

What did We Learn?

 We learned that while the wicked may scheme and build up their own plans, the Lord sees all and ultimately brings their efforts to nothing.
 Instead of letting ourselves get distracted by their actions or trying to take matters into our own hands, we should trust in the Lord, observe His work, and watch as He brings down the wicked in His perfect time.
 Rather than striving to prove ourselves or seeking revenge, we can rest in knowing that righteousness will prevail.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being the Righteous One who sees all things and brings justice in Your perfect way.
Help us to trust in You, to watch and wait as You work, and to remain faithful to what is good rather than getting caught up in the ways of the wicked.
Keep our hearts focused on Your truth and give us wisdom to walk in righteousness.
In Jesus’ Name we pray.
Amen.
