#77: Proverbs 21:6 - Dishonest Gains Don’t Last

Story summary

In this Bible lesson, Greybobby, Red, and Joy decide to start selling a special type of fruit punch, and Bart wants in on the business. Soon, he opens up his own shop selling vouchers for a super special Lupovakian fruit punch... which doesn’t seem to exist. Bart’s scam is quickly exposed, however, and he learns a lesson from Proverbs 21:6, that dishonest gains never last.

Proverbs 21:6

The getting of treasures by a lying tongue
is a fleeting vapor and a snare of death.

What did We Learn?

  • When people chase after riches through lies, it might seem like they’re winning for a while, but in the end, it all comes crashing down.
  • Just like Bart’s cash from his fake frosty drink, dishonest gains don’t last.
  • But when we choose to do what’s right, God sees it, and He provides for us in ways we never expect.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for teaching us that honesty and integrity matter more than quick riches.
Help us to trust You, even when it seems like doing the right thing isn’t paying off.
Give us wisdom to walk in truth and patience to wait for Your blessings in Your perfect timing.
In Jesus’ Name we pray.
Amen.
