#92: Proverbs 25:19 - Trust Jesus, Not The Treacherous

Story summary

Greybobby and friends set out on a search and rescue mission to find Folly Foal. They soon discover that Mold-E is behind her disappearance, and that he has fallen for Venemous’s trickery. They teach Mold-E the lesson of Proverbs 25:19: be careful of who you trust.

Proverbs 25:19

Trusting in a treacherous man in time of trouble
is like a bad tooth or a foot that slips.

What did We Learn?

  • We learned that when we trust the wrong people, especially when life gets hard or confusing, it leads to pain and trouble, just like biting down on a bad tooth or stepping on a foot that slips.
  • That trusting someone treacherous is dangerous, but Jesus is the friend who is always faithful and true — He never uses us or leads us astray.
  • He rescues us when we’ve trusted the wrong voices. By His grace, we can choose to listen to His voice and follow His lead because Jesus is the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for His sheep.
  • When we trust Him, He leads us in paths of life, love, and truth.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending Jesus to be our Good Shepherd — the one we can always trust, especially when things are difficult.
Help us to listen to His voice and not be tricked by those who would lead us into harm.
Thank You for Your grace that forgives us when we’ve trusted wrongly and brings us back to safety.
Teach us to walk in Your truth every day.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
