#97: Proverbs 25:13 - Be A Faithful Messenger
Story summary
The hunt of Uncle Greybilly continues as Greybobby and friends try to figure out where he might to be off to. Their biggest clue? Uncle Greybilly believes that he is the world famous explorer Frost O’Donnagan, embarking on one of his epic adventures. As they try to track him down, they remember Proverbs 25:13, and the lesson it teaches: to be a faithful messenger.
Proverbs 25:13
Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest
is a faithful messenger to those who send him;
he refreshes the soul of his masters.
is a faithful messenger to those who send him;
he refreshes the soul of his masters.
What did We Learn?
- Being a faithful messenger really matters.
- Proverbs 25:13 says that a faithful messenger is like cold snow in the heat of harvest—refreshing and life-giving.
- This reminds us of the greatest Messenger of all: Jesus. He came from the Father with the good news of salvation, and He perfectly delivered it through His life, death, and resurrection.
- When we trust Jesus, He refreshes our souls forever, and He helps us become faithful messengers of His love.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending Jesus, the faithful Messenger who brought us the good news of Your love and grace.
Just like Frost O’Donagan brought medicine and Oliver Cuckoo Bee finally delivered the right message, help us to be faithful in sharing Jesus with others.
Give us courage, honesty, and kindness so our words and actions refresh the people around us.
We thank You that in Christ we are forgiven when we fall short, and we ask You to help us follow His example each day.
In Jesus’s Name we pray,
Amen.
