Genesis 4: Bringing our best to God

God gave us His one and only Son, Jesus so that we would know the depths of His heart and His love. We need God’s Holy Spirit to overcome our selfish hearts and become more like Him.

The “best fruits.” Abel brought the best that he had to God, which showed that he had a heart that trusted and honored God.

God gave us Jesus, His one and only Son. This shows us the depths of God’s heart and His love for us.

In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD an offering of the fruit of the ground, and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, but for Cain and his offering he had no regard.
