Proverbs 6:16-19 - Hope In Jesus

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

Lesson Summary

  • We learned that there are some things that God cannot stand.
  • God can't stand sin and disobedience, but because we all disobey, He sent His Son to cover over our sin with His righteousness if we trust in Him.
  • There is hope for anyone Who would believe.

Prayer

Lord,
Help us to trust in Jesus so that our sins would be covered.
Work in our hearts by your Holy Spirit to produce love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
In Jesus' Name we pray.
Amen.
