The Simple Catechism #1
Who Made Everything, And Why Was It Made?
God made everything to bring glory to His Name.
Story summary
The kids are teleported to the town of Craftsville, where the inhabitants spend their days crafting and celebrating creativity. As Sheila Slyfox tries to convince the townspeople that their favorite work of art “just happened” and wasn’t created at all, Greybobby and friends share truth from the Bible: God made the heavens and the earth, and He made everything for a reason, to show how great He is and to bring glory to His Name.
Genesis 1:1
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
What Did We Learn?
- Things don’t just happen by accident. Just like every craft needs a crafter, everything in the world needs a Creator.
- God made the heavens and the earth, and He made everything for a reason, to show how great He is and to bring glory to His Name.
- When we see beauty, order, and creativity in the world around us, they point us back to God, who deserves all our praise.
